Annie Barrett is a founding principal of aanda. Her engaging, imaginative approach to design connects people with ideas to create beautiful and unique spaces.
Annie brings over fifteen years of experience designing uncommon spaces for individuals, institutions, and civic organizations at aanda and in her previous role at Architecture Research Office. Teaching is an essential extension of Annie’s practice, and she is a senior critic at the Yale School of Architecture where she coordinates graduate and undergraduate studios. Annie is licensed in the state of New York.

Adriel Mesznik is a founding principal of aanda. His strategic, exacting, and systematic approach anchors aanda’s exploratory design process in the logistics and parameters of implementation.
Adriel’s extensive experience in architecture, urbanism, strategic design, and fabrication includes notable expertise in managing budget and construction administration on complex projects at multiple scales across New York City and Philadelphia, at aanda and in his previous roles as principal of AMArchitecture and project architect at WXY Architecture. Adriel is licensed in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.
Anastasia Yee is the Studio Director and a Senior Project Architect at aanda. She leads studio operations and culture in addition to taking project teams through successful design and documentation. She is a registered architect in New York with over a decade of experience including commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
Caitlin Watson is a Senior Project Architect at aanda, focusing on civic, cultural, and institutional projects that use design to address social, ecological, and spiritual questions. She is a registered architect in New York with over a decade of experience and has led a diverse range of complex institutional projects.
Calder Birdsey is a Designer at aanda and a recent graduate of the Yale School of Architecture. He focuses primarily on community-oriented design-build in both academic and professional contexts.
Chi Chi Wakabayashi is a Designer at aanda, focusing on civic and institutional projects. She earned her Master of Architecture from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and has been working in Brooklyn ever since.
Matthew Ragazzo is a Designer at aanda. He has brought his discerning design sensibility to a range of projects in the studio, including a ground up painting studio in the Hudson Valley, an expansion of a wine store in the Upper East Side, and a student center in Providence, Rhode Island.
Michelle Schneider is a Designer at aanda, with experience across a range of residential, commercial, and institutional projects. They have contributed to work spanning the East Coast, as well as Houston, Texas, and Columbus, Ohio.
